21 Jul Brookgreen Gardens Cool Summer Evenings
Brookgreen Gardens showcases the beauty of the Myrtle Beach area and allows its visitors to take a break from the busy city life. It aims to bring local artwork to life and to protect the plants and animals that call it home, all while educating the public and allowing them to enjoy it.
During this summer season, Brookgreen has put together “Cool Summer Evenings”, a family friendly event on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. They invite you to join them for dinner, take an evening boat ride, or take your children to enjoy the “Just for Kids” activities. There is live entertainment every Wednesday and Friday. Brookgreen encourages its guests to bring their own chairs and blankets so they can enjoy the entertainment and festivities.
Every Thursday is “Family Night” which features a pirate’s journey along the creek aboard The Springfield. Each child that participates gets a pirate’s hat and a treasure map that they can keep. The boat ride takes its passengers to a treasure chest where the kids can find a treasure coin to take home with them.
The Cool Summer Evenings are included in the admission to enter the garden, however, it costs extra to take a boat ride. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children in addition to the garden admission.
